Pushing Daisies and dunking cookies with Kate Baxter…

Your current TV obsession?

I’m definitely obsessed with American Gods right now. I loved the first season and can’t wait for season two to begin. I loved the show so much that I’m now reading the book which is also amazing!

Your ultimate comfort food?

I LOVE food. Eating is without a doubt one of my favorite hobbies. I have so many favorite comfort foods: tacos, mac ‘n’ cheese, chicken pot pie…but I think that bread is my ultimate comfort food. My best friend is an AMAZING artisan baker and I could easily live at his bakery and eat nothing but bread for the rest of my life.

The last thing you saw at the cinema?

Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2. Superhero movies are my favorite and the sequel was just as funny and action packed as the first movie in the franchise!

To dunk cookies or not?

Depends on the cookie! I never dunk chocolate chip cookies, but I’ll dunk an Oreo any time.

If you could star in any role?

If I could star in any role, I’d play Viola in Shakespeare in Love. It’s my all-time favorite movie!

Your most-used cookbook?

I received Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book about twenty years ago and it’s my most used, although probably dated, cookbook. It has tons of basic recipes like for making pie crust or basic custard and it always comes in handy.

Tea or coffee?

I’m definitely a coffee person, though I’ll have tea every once in a while and I love iced tea in the summer!

The show you wish had not been cancelled?

It’s been cancelled for a long time, but there was this show called Pushing Daisies that I loved so much and was so sad when it was cancelled. It was about a pie maker who could bring the dead back to life with his touch and it was such a quirky and charming show.

Starter or dessert?

Dessert all the way!

The reality TV show(s) you would go on?

If I had the skill and talent, I’d be want to be a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance. I love to dance! I took ballet as a kid and teach a barre class at my gym twice a week. Next to writing, dance is my second favorite art form!
